Dear Colleagues,
this is to announce that a 1-day school on transport simulations by DFT-Keldish methods has been appended to the coming network meeting at Balaton.
The school will take place on friday, 17th June, and will consist of a hand-on tutorial on the use of Smeagol.
The program will appear shortly at the network meeting web page.
To give a flavor of the topics covered in the school, please read below the current preliminary program:
9:00-10:00 Brief primer of transport theory. 10:00-10:30 Primer on SIESTA 10:30-11:30 hands-on on SIESTA 11:30-12:00 Break 12:00-12:30 Primer on SMEAGOL 12:30-13:30 First Example: gold chain 13:30-15:00 Lunch 15:00-16:00 Second example: Au-BDT 16:00-16:30 FIREBALL and SMEAGOL 16:30-17:30 Example with FIREBALL 17:30-18:00 Break 18:00-19:00 Third example: graphene-something 19:00 Closure
Attendants to the school should bring a laptop, with some version of linux and a decent fortran compiler installed.
